Honouree: Justin Duggan

1-800-GOT-JUNK

Justin Duggan is co-owner of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Okanagan. He has a location in Kelowna, a satellite office in Kamloops, plus is a partner in Saskatchewan and Manitoba franchises.

Justin oversees all operational aspects of the franchises and manages the leadership team. He began his path in college but left to pursue entrepreneurship with the company. Through his tenure as Okanagan franchise owner, Justin doubled revenue in two years and fostered a culture of mentorship and encouragement where team members become co-owners.

Justin’s leadership is influenced by his former boss and the core principles of “Ownership, Pace & Intensity.”

One of Justin’s most memorable moments is witnessing the remarkable journey of two Truck Team Members who have been with them since the start, first working on the trucks then progressing to full-time operational roles and general managers.

Justin believes their impact on the business will be profound, and he’s proud of the leadership team’s approach.

The Okanagan Franchise ranked among the top 10 performing worldwide in 2022 and 2023.

Beyond business success, Justin and his company actively support charitable organizations like ‘Mamas for Mamas’ and ‘Paws It Forward’. The team refurbishes old furniture and donates them to charitable organizations. They also donate their time and trucks to help clean bike trails and environmental areas, like cleaning up Lac Du Bois Grasslands in collaboration with the Kamloops Naturalist Club – all as part of creating a supportive and socially responsible business environment.
