Now is the time for artists from across B.C. to enter their submissions into the Penticton Public Sculpture Exhibit.
Artists are invited to submit their work to the city until Dec. 15, with the chance of having their sculptures displayed next year along the Lakeshore Drive waterfront and Penticton's downtown core.
“We accept applications from across the province and look forward to unveiling the unique creations of these artists each spring,” said Joanne Malar, the city's manager of recreation, arts and culture.
Established in 2016, the Public Sculpture Exhibit showcases artists' work across Penticton every year.
In 2024, seven sculptures were selected to be displayed at "high-profile outdoor locations," according to the city.
The sculptures are owned by the artists and leased by the City of Penticton for one year.
“Bringing together talented artists in a showcase that adds vibrancy while keeping art accessible in our community is a great project to be a part of and we look forward to seeing what will be submitted.”
