Golf balls will shower down at the Summerland Golf and Country Club on Thanksgiving weekend during a fundraiser.

On Oct. 14 at 4 p.m., the Brutus Truck Bodies Helicopter Ball Drop will release golf balls to raise money for Agur Lake Camp.

Agur Lake Camp, located west of Summerland, is the only barrier-free camp in the province.

Each ticket has a unique number linked to a golf ball. The balls will be taken to the sky by Topflight Helicopter and then released over a flag on the driving range.

The three balls that land closest to the flag will earn the ticket holders prizes of $2,500, $1,500 and $500.

The sponsors of the event are Brutus Truck Bodies, Bell Media, Peters Bros. Construction Ltd. and Shaughnessy's Cove.

Tickets are available online from Agur Lake Camp at www.agurlakecamp.ca.
