Music in the Park has been cancelled this week due to the heat warning in place.

The City of West Kelowna Recreation and Park staff are working with the performers and event planners to organize a new date that will be announced in the future.

They are also reminding people to stay safe this weekend and keep cool by going to a local beach or park and find shade, or visit the Westbank Museum.

Hours have also been extended until further notice at the Kids Care Spray Park, which is now open from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The City of Kelowna says they are prepared to help in an extreme heat emergency.
