A police presence has Long Street from Glenwood Avenue to Royal Avenue near Kelowna General Hospital closed on Wednesday afternoon (Sept.18).

A tactical vehicle is at a house in the 2100-block of Long Street, close to the intersection with Royal Avenue.

It's unknown when the police arrived at the scene or what caused the presence.

A witness at the scene told Black Press Media flash bangs were used at the house. A police dog is also on scene and officers are using a drone around the house.

Workers at a nearby construction site have been pulled away from their job site.
