Residents of Rose Valley in West Kelowna are dealing with intermittent power outages over the last few days.

Those living on Olympus Way, Rosealee Lane, Parkinson Road, Westlake Road are reporting several brief outages occurring each day this week.

Some claim power is cut in the morning between 6 and 7 a.m., while others are experiencing the outages in the afternoon.

BC Hydro is aware that some customers have been experiencing brief outages.

The outages are related to an issue at a BC Hydro substation.

Mary Anne Coules, with BC Hydro, explained that there is a crew on site and they hope to have the issue resolved shortly.

“These outages have been occurring for about three weeks. We have been working on the issue since it started. We have made some upgrades to the electronics that control the substation, and will continue to work to resolve the issue,” stated Coules.
