West Kelowna fire crews were called to a possible blaze inside an apartment, Monday afternoon.
Reports of a fire at 3880 Brown Road unit 302 were called in about 12:40 p.m.
Crews arrived on scene to find no smoke or visible flame coming from the building.
Once firefighters were inside the unit they discovered a pot had been left on the stove.
The pot was removed and the unit was ventilated from the smoke.
