West Kelowna residents are about to see some road improvements soon, as the city’s road rehabilitation project begins on Aug. 17.

The project will see 11 road segments treated with some paving renewal across the city, starting with Pritchard Drive North and Industrial Road.

The $1.3 million project includes a variety of treatments including preservation activities, asphalt milling, raising catch basins, pavement overlay and drainage improvements.

The following road were selected based on maintenance standards and include:

  • Paynter Road
  • Gosset Road
  • Drought Road
  • N Pritchard Drive
  • Hitchner Road
  • Dominon Road
  • Industrial Road
  • McKellar Road
  • Rose Valley Road

The city said efforts will be made to reduce impacts of the project wherever possible.
