Traffic issues are plaguing West Kelowna in both directions along Highway 97, Friday afternoon.
An influx of traffic coming off of Highway 97C into West Kelowna is causing a back up of vehicles.
One lane is closed due to paving and road widening.
Meanwhile, headed west on Highway 97, vehicles in both lanes are backed up from Boucherie Road to Westlake Road.
According to one driver, there are no major issues on the roads except for an increase in vehicles in West Kelowna.
Today, June 26, marks the last day of school for most students which tends to increase traffic in the Okanagan as residents head in or out of town before the Canada Day holiday.
