Woman rescued from West Kelowna trail after fainting

The incident happened on a trail inside the Rose Valley Regional Park

Emergency crews in West Kelowna have been called to the Rose Valley Regional Park to rescue a woman who fainted on a trail.

The incident happened at about 2 p.m., Thursday.

Crews set up just outside the park along Westlake Road.

A basket stretcher was brought in to recover the 37-year-old woman, who is about 2 km down a trail.

It’s unclear why the woman fainted.
