Born in Camrose, AB, on July 8, 1926, the youngest child of Marshal and Lottie Nickerson. Predeceased by eight of his nine siblings and grandson Jeremy. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, June, and children Gordon (Bev), Alan, Darlene (Chris), and Judy plus nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and sister Margaret Boutin. He was “Uncle Bud” to literally hundreds of nieces and nephews and their children. Bud and June left the farm near Dapp, AB, in 1950, and settled in the Prince George area where Bud worked as a millwright until he retired in 1987. They moved to the Okanagan after retiring eventually ended up in Westbank in 1994. Although Bud left the farm in 1950 he never lost touch with the farmboy in him and never missed a chance to go back to the Dapp/Westlock area to visit family and friends. Bud loved to travel and did a lot of driving around the country after retiring. His lifelong career as a millwright/fixer upper did not end on retirement, he was always fixing things for other people and was in his glory when he had a project to do. The only thing in life he could not fix was his prostrate cancer which took him from us on July 24, 2008 at the age of 82. We love you and miss you Bud, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on July 29, 2008 at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road. Interment to follow in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
