passed away July 26, 2008 in Kelowna, BC.  He was born on February 27, 1919 in Grayson, Saskatchewan and moved to Kelowna in 1958 where he worked at the Rutland Saw Mill.  After his marriage to Joan Wingham, they moved to Westbank where Tony worked as a custodian for School District 23.  Tony was a past President of the Westside Seniors and also the Alert Line.  He was predeceased by his parents Anton and Elizabeth, his wife Joan, sisters Julia and Janice and step-son Andy.  He leaves to mourn his passing his companion and care giver Dorothy Tonita; brothers: Daniel (Mary), Sig (Mildred), Ray (Helen); sister Evelyn Vielvoye (John); step-daughters: Francis Kirby, Lynn Mitchell and families; also numerous nieces and nephews.  There will be no service at Tony’s request.  Donations in memory of Tony may be made to Cottonwoods Extended Care, c/o 2268 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1T2.  A gift in living memory of Anthony will be made to “Hospice Care” by Springfield Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com, 250-860-7077
