Antonia (Tony)
passed away peacefully June 4, 2009 at David Lloyd Jones Home in her 100th year. Born in Bruderheim, Alberta on October 5, 1909 to Amelia & Gottlieb
Sampert. Predeceased by her husband Arthur (1981), siblings: Emil, Lydia, Fred, Elvina, Matilda, Elizabeth, Louis and Carl and spouses. Tony leaves to mourn her children: Josephine (Arnold) Barr, Calgary, Elaine (Ed) Shaw, Kamloops, Jerry (Joyce) Jantz, Calgary, grandchildren: Blair (Jan), Darryl (Patti) Barr, Elizabeth (Rob) Smith, Ted (Susan) Shaw, Jeffrey (Lorraine), Jacqueline, Jim Jantz and 15 great grandchildren,
sisters-in-law Alma, Tracey and Mable, brother-in-law
Albert Duggan and
numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Sampert family left the farm in 1919 moving to
Portland, Oreg. Tony & Art met in Vancouver where they married in 1931.
Moving to Rultand in 1947 and Kelowna, in 1949. Tony was a past noble grand in the Rebekah Lodge and also enjoyed lawn bowling and playing bridge.
A Celebration of Tony’s life will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of
