KALAMEN, ARNOLD ROBERT
(February 18, 1924 – March 13, 2013)
Rev. Arnold Kalamen, of Kelowna, BC passed away peaceably into the presence of His Lord at Sun Pointe Wednesday at the age of 89. Dad moved the family to Kelowna
August, 1969 from Nova Scotia and dedicated the last 44 years of his life here to serving the Lord, His Church and this community. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed,
particularly by the two congregations he pastored, Evangel Church and Kelowna Christian Center. He is survived by his loving
wife, Audrey Kalamen and his two children, David Kalamen
(Carleen) and Barbara Giesbrecht (Terry), five grandchildren: Brodie Kalamen (Natalie), Ryan Kalamen, Kerri Frey
(Nathan), Chad Giesbrecht (Dean’a), and Justin Giesbrecht (Shawna), and eleven great-grand-children – Kyla,
Evangeline, Madison, Jayden, Kaden, Kylanna, Alexis,
Rielynn, Judah, Carter, Wyatt, and his nephew, Al Hart (Cheryl), and their three children (Meagan, Kelsey, Amy). He was predeceased by his mother, Anna Kalamen. His coronation service will be held at Kelowna Christian Center, 905 Badke Road, Kelowna, on Friday, March 22nd at
1:00 pm with Pastors David and Brodie Kalamen officiating. Dad had a big heart for missions. In lieu of flowers,
donations can be made to Kelowna Christian Center’s
mission organization, Building Beyond Borders
