Beat Mader

Beat Mader

July 16, 1945 – April 25, 2013

Family and friends of Beat

are extremely saddened to

announce his sudden and

unexpected passing. He will

be severely missed and is

survived by his wife, Francine Mader (nee Labonte); his

daughters Dr. Heidi Mader

(Peter Dancak) and Laura

Mader; his grandchildren

Genevieve, Mercedes, Oscar,

and Sylvester Mader-Dancak. Originally from a quaint Switzerland town, Beat lived a

simple but meaningful life surrounded by friends and family in Canada for the past 37 years. He worked many years as a renowned Master Chef de Cuisine, and he was also

extensively involved in numerous community service events and establishments such as the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, Crossroads Treatment Centre, the Salvation Army, and In From the Cold –to name a few. His volunteering was

always a great source of pride, and he cherished the many friends and family that enriched his life and brought him

profound fulfillment and joy.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that a donation be made to the Salvation Army, your local Food Bank or World Vision. A gathering to celebrate Beat’s life will be held at the family home on Saturday May 25 from 12pm to 4 pm.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
