at the age of 79. Survived
by his loving wife Isabel of 58 years; three sons: Roger Pires (Debbie) of Victoria, Joe Pires (Lora) of Kelowna, Gilbert Pires (Christina) of Kelowna; nine grandchildren: Nicole, Dena, Danielle, Michael, Stephanie, Alysa, Alexandra, Christopher
and Ricardo; three great grandchildren: Reese, Mila and Hannah; one brother
José-Maria Pires (Adelina) of Portugal; sister Maria
Pires (Manuel) of Portugal; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by his parents. Prayers will be recited on Thursday, September 12th at 7:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Mass of Christian Burial
on Friday, September 13th at 10:30 am at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 750 Rutland Road North, Kelowna, BC with interment in St. Theresa’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association – Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 2Z6.
