GIEBER, BRIGITTE MARIA (nee KRUGER)
Passed away on April 23, 2016 at the age of 79. Survived by her son Robert Melrose of Vancouver, sister Irma Hutton of Logan Lake, Sisters-in-law Louba Kruger and Mayda Shoemaker both of Kelowna, three nieces and two nephews. Predeceased by her husband Frank Gieber, brothers Rolf Kruger and Waldemar Kruger. Brigitte was born on May 23,
1936 in Zarudnia, Germany. She moved with her family
to Kelowna in the 1950’s. Upon her move to Vancouver she met and married Frank Gieber and they eventually moved to Edmonton where she worked as a cab driver. Throughout her life she engaged in her great passion for travel. She was a loving mother, sister and aunt and her family and wide circle of friends will deeply miss her. A celebration of life will be held on May 22, 2016 at her home 255 McIntosh Road, Kelowna.
