FORD, CAMERON DUFF (CAM) July 27, 1966 – December 30, 2014
Painlessly and in his sleep, Cam has moved on to brighter days filled with 4x4s, bonfires, and maybe an adult beverage or two. In the words of J.M. Barrie, “Next moment he was standing erect on the rock again, with that smile on his face and a drum beating within him. It was saying, "To die will be an awfully big adventure.” Born and raised in Kelowna, Cam came to the end of his journey amid family in Coldstream, BC. He rejoins his Mom Karen, Sister Mavis, Fiancé Ronnie, great friends Jack and Conrad and best pup Java. Cam is survived by his sons Dustin and Orion Betts, dad David, sister Heather, best friends Linda, Shane and Juliette, only nephew Corey, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and long-time friends Derek and Billy. Cam had his fair share of rough times, but had been looking forward to some new opportunities, and a chance at real happiness up north. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Cam’s life will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday January 8th, at First Memorial Funeral, 1211 Sutherland Avenue. Light refreshments will follow at the Ford residence.
