Charles Edward Burns
November 15th, 1926 – August 23rd, 2017
Charlie passed away August 23rd 2017 in Kelowna. He was born in Liverpool England in 1926 and migrated to Canada in 1954. When he arrived in Calgary, he worked as an auto mechanic, before joining the School Board where he worked until his retirement in 1989. Shortly after his retirement, Charles married Barbara and they moved to Kelowna to be by the lake, as Charlie loved to swim and golf.
Charlie is predeceased by his brothers George and Douglas, and he is survived by his wife Barbara, his daughter Janice (Jim), his sister- in-law Joan, his nephews Gary (Donna), Alan (Pat), his niece Michelle (Kevin), his first wife Betty, his stepchildren Kathy (Fred), Rick (Michele), Randy, Karolyn (Mark) and Kim (Brent) and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life and memories at their home in West Kelowna on Sunday 3rd September 2017 at 4pm to 8pm.
