Chester Szarko (AKA "Chester the Tester") passed away peacefully with his wife Sylvia by his side on Sept. 19th. His daughters Cathryn (Don, & their daughter Krista and her husband Istvan), Tracy (Kelly, & their son, Avery), and Christine along with many relatives and friends will remember this social, loving man with fondness and love.
Born in Milk River in 1932, Chester eventually made his way to Kelowna with his wife Sylvia to join with partners and start the company Interior Testing.
Through the job that he thoroughly enjoyed, as well as the many activities that he was involved with in his life (golfing, Hungarian Cultural events, teaching at the College, and singing - to name a few), Chester was in contact with many people.
We always laughed because no matter where we were, in any city or country, Chester met people he knew.
Chester's final years were spent at David Lloyd Jones Care Home and we would like to extend our sincere appreciation for taking such great care of our Chester.
Due to COVID concerns, a gathering to celebrate Chester's life will be planned in the future. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity close to your heart.
