CHRISTINA MARY (CHRIS) PEARSON
Dec 25, 1932 - Sept 13, 2009. On September 13, 2009 Chris passed away at Brandt’s Creek Mews after a short battle with cancer. Born in Vancouver Chris attended Kitsilano High School then began her work career with Eatons and moved on in 1957 to a 37 year career with the Hudson’s Bay Company in downtown Vancouver & then in Orchard Park Kelowna. Predeased by Fred her husband of 27 years, mother Ruby Nelson, foster mother Ada Nowell and 15 year companion Alwyn the cat. Chris is survived by her loving family Dennis (Alice) Lee, Adam (Sara) Lee of Vernon, Andrea (Eric) Szopa of Kuwait …Dianne (Roy) Anderson, Leah (Kevin) Manson, David (Heather) Lambert of White Rock and Langley ... Sylvia (Ken) Brewster, Tony (Juli) Brewster, Carolyn (Steve) Broady and Terry Baker all of West Vancouver. Her longtime friends Gillian Mathews of Summerland and Cheryl & Mel Bullee of Kelowna. Close neighbours Sharyn Olsen, Elizabeth & Marilene. Many thanks to the staff at KGH4 east and heartfelt thanks to the staff at Brandt’s Creek Mews for their devoted care of Chris. Chris’s smiling face and happy easy to please ways will be missed by her family, friends and all of her old co-workers at the Bay, past customers, bus drivers and everyone that she saw and met on her daily trips around Kelowna. In lieu of flowers donations in Chris's memory may be made to the Kelowna SPCA. A Celebration of Life was held by the family in White Rock.
