CHRISTINE ANITA SONNICHSEN OCT 24, 1929 - JAN 12, 2015
Christine Anita Sonnichsen died peacefully on January 12, 2015 at home in West Kelowna. She was born in London, England on October 24, 1929, the only child of Christopher and Kezia (Oliver) Alexander and came to live in Canada in 1956. She was predeceased by her first husband, James Duncan Macpherson in 1966, and by her second husband, Andre Karl Sonnichsen in 1989. She is survived by her children: Janice (Jean-Guy) Deveault, West Kelowna; Duncan (Margaret) Macpherson, Halifax; Glenda (Mark) Legge, Moncton; Shirley Dash, Ottawa; Marian (John) Cornellier, Montreal; Andre Sonnichsen, Vancouver; and Karl (Nadia) Sonnichsen, Calgary; and by fifteen grandchildren and four great grandsons. She is also survived by her much loved cat, Woolly. She had a wonderful and vibrant life with many interests, enjoying her family and world-wide travel. The family is most grateful for the amazing support and care given by Dr. Roy T Maroney, and the palliative care nurses Leisa, Ann and Kathleen and their wonderful team. Special thanks to Mr. Ken McRae, Dr. J.G. McInnes, and Mr. Barry Walker for their kindness. Private services will be held.
