HOBSON, DAVID

William David Hobson passed away at KGH after a nearly two year battle with leukaemia.
Survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret, son Michael, daughter Heather Carter (Davin), granddaughters Emily and
Lacey, brother Robert (Adair),
aunt Rosemary Stiell and
numerous extended family.
Dave was born in Kelowna and
an orchardist in the Belgo area
for 37 years. He was very
involved in the BC Fruit Growers
Association, the BC Federation of Agriculture, the Canadian Federation of Agriculture, the Central Okanagan Heritage Society, and Okanagan Mission Rotary Club. Special thanks to Dr. Jeff Brown, the nurses at KGH oncology ward on 4B, and the leukaemia unit at Vancouver General
Hospital led by Dr. John Shepherd. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26th at 2:00 pm at St. Andrews Anglican Church, 4619 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna. In lieu
of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or the Central Okanagan Heritage Society.
