Softly the leaves of memory fall,
Gently we father and treasure them all,
Unseen, unheard, he is ever near.
Still loved, still missed, still very dear.
Please God forgive a silent tear.
A constant wish that he were here.
Others were taken, yes we know.
But he was ours and we miss him so.
