Born April 23, 1945 in Nottingham, England and died on April 21, 2008 at Douglas Fir Unit in Cottonwoods. Deirdre will be remembered for her kindness and elegance. She was an excellent hostess who loved to entertain for family and friends. She was the only daughter of the late Earle and Norine Palmer of the U.K. Deirdre is survived by her Kelowna cousin, Donna Palmer Aunt Jean Palmer and cousin Dianne Palmer in Lethbridge, Alberta. She is also survived by cousins Douglas Gordon Napier and Caroline Page in the U.K. Deirdre had many friends who were there for her in good times and during her recent illness. Special thanks to Ruthellen Hunter, Carla Van Voorst and the many others who helped during those difficult times. Also special thanks to her U.K. friends Jann, Diana, Sue and Dawn who were always in close contact.
