October 11, 1935 - August 11, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Dolman on August 11th, 2018.

Don was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Hilda Dolman (nee Hookham). He leaves behind his wife of 56 years Kathy Dolman (nee Edwards), daughter Corinne Dolman (John Large), son Glenn Dolman (Rose), granddaughters Jessye and Taya Large, grandsons Ben and James Dolman, sister Audrey Gibson and brother Allan Dolman (Debbie) as well as many fishing and racquetball buddies.

Don was born in Chilliwack, BC and moved to Kelowna, where his mother was born, at the age of 7. He worked on the Okanagan Lake tug boats as a young man and later opened an automotive repair shop (Okanagan Engine Rebuilders) in the north end of town - "Don's my name and engines are my game."

Don spent many of his earlier years involved with the Kelowna Judo Club where he competed and earned his black belt. He enjoyed coaching hockey, playing slow pitch softball and racquetball but most of all he loved fishing. For many years he fished the local mountain lakes and later enjoyed ocean fishing on the west coast of Vancouver Island as captain of the "Double DD".

A heartfelt thank you to the volunteers and staff at COHS and all of the loving caregivers and family members. The family would like to extend an invitation to drop in to daughter Corinne's house in Lake Country (5341 Stubbs Road) Saturday, August 25th anytime between 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm for Don's Celebration of Life.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice House. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.everdenrust.com 250-860-6440
