GREEN, DONALD (DON) ROSS

JULY 18, 1920 – MAY 28, 2013

Don was born in

New Westminster and

spent his later youth in

England. Shortly before

the war Don enlisted in

the Royal Navy, training

as a radio telegrapher.

He served in several

theatres of war latterly

as a submariner in

SE Asia. Following the

war he tried a number

of occupations, working hard to support his wife and family of 4 children. Finding a use for his radio skills in aviation, he eventually became

a pilot, working in both the UK and Middle East.

His flying career culminated in becoming Chief Pilot

and Operations Manager in Libya.  Retiring from flying,

he came “back home” to Kelowna where he became a

lend a hand. He valued his friends most highly.

He will be truly missed by both his family & friends.

at 2:30 pm at Springfield Funeral Home,
