Donna May Violet was born on November 6, 1942 in Ocean Falls, BC. She died on November 1, 2018 in Kelowna, BC. She was the youngest child of Arthur Vincent Ablett and Edith May Harriet Davis and her siblings include: Vivian [deceased], Douglas, Albert [deceased] Sheila, Gordon, and Richard [deceased]. Her nieces and nephews mourn her passing.
With Ken Owens Sr.(ex-spouse) she had the following children: Jean Owens [Robert Wallace], Jackie Berg [Karl] and Ken Owens (deceased) [ex-spouse Tanya]. She will be missed by her grandchildren Annalee and Liam, Tatum, Ryland and Quinton.
In 1977 Donna met David Bruce Weddell and together they enjoyed 35 years in the Joe Rich Valley. When she went into Cottonwoods Care Home, David was a devoted visitor.
The family thanks the staff at Cottonwoods for their care. Donna was "the heart of the unit" and the gift shop's best customer.
As a young woman Donna enjoyed horseback riding and dances. She was known for her wit, fun-loving nature and kindness. Donna's great joys were visits from her family and friends, writing letters and finding knick-knack treasures. There is no service.
