passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday May 20th 2008 at the age of 94. Survived by her loving family, three daughters; Carol Henderson of Surrey, Judy Lyons (Jim) of CA, Susan Harvey (Jim) of Langley, three sons, Jim (Antoinette Seabrook) of Kelowna, Wayne of Surrey, Kurt (Kris) of Delta, eleven grandchildren; Marcie Rein (Mark), Kris Lyons (Dalia), Kevin Lyons (Erika), Jason Harvey (Julianne), Jennifer Dumais (Marcel), Dan Harvey (Kristen), David Compton-Harvey (Dani); Zoe Ann Henderson (Santokh Bal), Stace Henderson and their mother Rita Henderson, Alia Henderson (Pete) and Kara Henderson; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Sadly predeceased by husband Bruce in 1984 and son Kenneth in 1964. Dorothy began her life in Saskatchewan, married Bruce Henderson and together they raised seven children there and in Surrey, retiring to Kelowna in 1975. Special thanks to Dr. T. Sebulsky, the home care nurses and the palliative care team from Hospice for their exceptional care and concern. Funeral service will be held on Sunday May 25, 2008 at 12:30pm at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Center for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Ave., Kelowna, BC V1Y 5L3.
