MARSON, DOUGLAS WARD

With great sadness we announce the passing of

Douglas Ward Marson on Sunday, March 23, 2014.

He was born in 1961 in Calgary to parents Don and

Maureen and later joined by his loving sister Tannis.

He graduated from U of C with a designation in accounting. Doug moved to Kelowna to article at the firm Rutherford Bazett. During that time, while teaching a sailing course, he met the love of his life Carol. Doug’s greatest pride was their children, Jarvis and Aly. He treasured his lifelong friendships. Doug’s passion for his job and close family of co-workers at the BC government Ministry for Children

and Family Development were an integral part of his life.

He had an uncanny ability to use his humour to put people at ease. Doug lived life to the fullest: triathlons, running,

skiing, biking, hiking, and family road trips, all which were followed by a cold beverage and laughter. Family events

will never be the same without Uncle Doug.

Service will be held at St Michael’s  Anglican Church

on Saturday, March 29th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers,

donations can be made to Prostate Cancer Foundation

BC and please remember Movember.

Arrangements in care of
