BROKES – Edward William passed away peacefully with his wife Ili at his side on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the age of 84 years. He is also survived by his sister Marianne Koczis of Hungary and several nieces and nephews. Edward came to Canada in 1950. He spent a short period of time at UBC, after which he joined the Royal Bank of Canada. He worked mostly in the international division where he worked abroad and was very proud to reach an executive position with the bank. After retirement in 1984 he moved to Kelowna, having surveyed the area in the early 1950’s. Edward struggled with Alzheimer’s in the last number of years. He will be missed by all his family and friends. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
