HEPPNER, ELDON KENNETH

With his loving family surrounding him, Eldon passed away peacefully at the Kelowna General Hospital on Friday, February 20th, at the age of 67. Eldon will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Barb, and his sons Jason (Angie) of Kelowna, and Darren (Jessica) of Calgary. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Skyler (Kelowna), Rylin and Avery (Calgary). The latest addition to his family, grandson Berkeley John Eldon, was born in Calgary on February 21st, 2015. Eldon is survived by two sisters; Deanna Krug (Norm) of Saskatoon, and his twin Ellie Klassen (Hank) of Kamloops. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter F. and Helen Heppner, and sister Joyce Peters. Eldon was born in Saskatoon on July 6th, 1947, and raised in Hepburn, SK. He received his CA designation in 1974 in Saskatoon, moving to Kelowna in 2000. A Celebration of Life to honour Eldon will be announced at a later date. Familiy members wish to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses of KGH (6 West) for their incredible care, compassion, and assistance during Eldon’s final days, as well as to the care staff at Cottonwoods Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the “ALS Society of BC” 119 – 1600 Wes 6th Avenue, Vancouver BC, V6J 1R3 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
