Ellen Mehmal passed away suddenly on February 4th, 2008 at the Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 68 years. Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Harry; her children, Dan of Edmonton, Janet (Doug) Gailey of Grand Forks, Diana Hodgson of Norman Wells, NWT and Mark (Nickie) of Kelvington, Sk; grandchildren, Pat, Jeff, Carrie, Kelly, Tyrell, Chase, Sam and Will; she will be remembered by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wally & Audrey, Joy & Tom, Gwen & Larry, Lisa & Larry, John & Karen and Barb Weed as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Ellen was predeceased by her brother Steven and her parents Louis and Violet Weed. Ellens family was the most important part of her life, she was known by many of her nieces and nephews asAuntie Melon and will remembered for her lumpy gravy and barf salad. Ellen was employed at Sears for over 30 years, where she developed many close friendships. She enjoyed reading and golfing at Michaelbrook. There will be an open house at 520 Dell Road, on Saturday, February 9th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. A Celebration of Ellens Life will take place in Grand Forks on June 30th, 2008.
