STEWART, EMILY EVA
September 24, 1924 ~ November 9, 2013
We won't shed a tear, thats not what Emily would have wanted, instead, we will celebrate her life. Emily's
children Loretta (Fulmek), Roger, Catherine (Buchanan) and Bruce, will remember her honesty, her matter-of-fact
nature and her fierce independence. Emily was a jack of all trades and
we all depended on her knowledge.Whether it was how to remove a stain, the
recipe for pie pastry or gardening tips, Emily had the answer. Known for her thrifty habits, she knew how to stretch a penny and save a penny. Emily valued and appreciated the support she received from her in-laws, Rick, John and Terry. Emily was interested in the lives of
her grandchildren, Troy, Karen, Amy,Brendan and Tina who provided her with so much joy. The happiest
and most loving times of her life were SPent with them. We will remember that Emily loved to go for long walks. We'll think of her love of reading when we pick up a book. We'll treasure the keepsakes that she sewed. We'll miss
the delicious pies that she baked for each holiday. We'll continue to laugh as we remember her edgy sense of humour. We'll honour the strength she showed in her final days and sip a glass of port in her memory. Donations in memory of Emily, may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice House.
