SMITH, ERIN RAE
In the early hours of October 23, 2014 the world stopped and the heavens opened to receive our beautiful Erin. From the moment of her birth on June 28, 1981, while a doe stood watch
outside of the window of her delivery room, her spirit was defined. She was a special gift to all of us. While her
departure was far too soon, we are grateful for every moment that we were able to be part of her life and for the joy she provided to all of us. Our lives will never be the same and are only made bearable by the never ending gift that was her life and by the belief that her beautiful soul will provide us with comfort in our
moments of sadness and light our way through the darkness that accompanies her passing. She is survived and forever remembered by her loving parents, Brian and Michelle Smith of Kelowna, her loving brother Mark of Kelowna, her loving pet dogs “Abby” and “Lola”, various aunts and uncles including Viola Watt of Edmonton, Alberta, Mary and William Taylor of Trenton, Ontario, Brenda Smith of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Michael Upham and Cathy Lotwin of
Calgary, Alberta, various cousins and her new special love Geoffrey Jones. A mass will be held at St. Pius X Church at 1077 Fuller Avenue (corner of Gordon Drive and Fuller
Avenue), Kelowna, BC on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 am followed by interment at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the fund established for Lindsey Hauck, a co-worker and friend of Erin, who was seriously injured in the car crash that also took our beloved Erin.
