FLORENCE E. SMITH
(ALLEN)
Born January 27, 1918 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on October 17, 2009 in Kelowna, B.C. at 91 years. Florence E. Smith (Allen) was predeceased by her beloved husband, Noel, infant son, Jimmy and all but one of her sisters and brother. She leaves behind to mourn her, her son Alan (Stella,) her devoted daughter Kelly Vincent (Robert), and three grandchildren who thought she was the cat’s pyjamas – Cassie Smith, Nicolette Vincent, and Dallas Vincent. Flo was blessed with a beautiful singing voice, performed on her own musical radio show in Kamloops at the age of 16, was an entertainer during WWII and conducted many choirs. She was vibrant, humorous, and possessed real panache and a generous spirit. To us all, she was a colourful and truly great lady. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.mem.com.
