Florence Maude Gross passed away on January 20, 2019 at Village at Smith Creek in West Kelowna, B.C. at the age of 100. She is survived by 2 granddaughters, Tracy Keith of Calgary, Alberta and Derryl Atwood (Dalin) of Raymond, Alberta; 5 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her husband Anton Gross; her daughter Karen, 2 sisters, 1 half-sister and 1 half-brother, and 1 great great granddaughter.

She was born in Ennis, Montana and became a Canadian citizen 22 Nov 1973. Enjoyed managing the Lethbridge Flying Club Cafe for 13.5 years and various other managing positions in the catering industry and owned a beauty shop in Brooks, Alberta. She enjoyed playing drums in a band with her husband Anton. She loved curling and baseball. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Catholic Ladies League for many years. She was hard working and loved every job she ever had.

A huge thank you to the wonderfully attentive staff at Village at Smith Creek and for all those who faithfully visited her and brought joy into her life. There will be a funeral mass at Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2547 Hebert Rd, West Kelowna on Friday, Feb 8th at 11 am. And a Memorial Service at Village at Smith Creek, 2425 Orlin Road, West Kelowna on Friday, Feb 8th at 2:30 pm.

Florrie's remains will be interned at the Mountain View Cemetery in Lethbridge, Alberta. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.firstmemorialfuneralkelowna.com.
