GIBSON, Garth Leonard

Garth passed away peacefully on Monday May 23, 2016 at Cottonwoods Care Centre at the age of 84, 2 days shy of his 85th birthday. “Gibby” will be lovingly remembered by: his wife Audrey; daughters Lynn-Dell Gibson, Valerie Spring, Lola Gibson, grandchildren; Jilly-ann Gibson (Sam), Lyndon Watson (Laura), Chris Kellerman (Rebecca), Graham Kellerman (Chantelle), Kayla Mitchell, Riley Mitchell (Brooke), Karly Mitchell, predeceased by his son Ken Gibson. Gibby worked for OK Ready Mix; he started as a cement truck driver, went on to dispatcher, salesman and most of his time he was the Manager. He was a dedicated socialite, often he could be found at Porco’s pool hall, Willow Inn & Royal Ann, Bingo and Casino’s, Kelowna Senior’s Centre “Teen Town” where he enjoyed playing pool and cribbage. A Celebration of his Life will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday May 28, 2016 at Capri Hotel, Main Ballroom, 1171 Harvey Avenue Kelowna, BC.
