GARY WILLIAM TREMBLAY JUNE 8, 1974 – JANUARY 19, 2015

FAMILY LOVE COMMUNITY

It is with profound shock and sadness that we announce Gary’s sudden passing. Gary was a family man first. His wife, Kelly, and children, Zachary, Hayley, and Cassidy, were everything to him. He was the ‘fun guy’ for his kids – a hands on dad who would get right in there to play anything from barbies with his girls to skating and playing hockey with his son to family board game and movie nights with his family. He taught his children how to ride their bikes, skate, swing a golf club and baseball bat and give back to their community. He loved to play hockey, baseball, golf, crib, volleyball and so many other things. Gary did everything at 110% going 100 miles an hour. He cared, and this is evident in the many organizations that Gary gave back to and was involved with: Winfield Minor Hockey, BCJHL, Leduc Giants, North Zone Referees Association, AJHL, City of Leduc, World Sledge Hockey Tournament, LMHA, Hockey Alberta, Leduc Old Blades, AASRA just to name a few. Gary was a husband, dad, son, brother, nephew, uncle, grandson, friend, coach, mentor and leader. He will be missed deeply by his wife Kelly, his children Hayley, Zachary and Cassidy, his parents Ray and Sue Tremblay, his brothers Derek (Kristen) Tremblay and their children Carly, Brooke and Colton and Brent (Jacquie) Tremblay, and their children Ethan and Sarah, his parents in-law Brian and Gloria Scowcroft, his sisters in-law Lesley Scowcroft and Kristine (Don) Ritchie and their children, Brendan and Kaylene his grandmothers Laurette Tremblay and Dorothy Gillespie and grand- parents in-law, Bob and Eleanor Scowcroft and Jack Turner, along with the many loving uncles, aunts and cousins and many friends. Gary played, laughed and taught us much in his short life. A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at his second home on Friday January 23 at 3:00pm at the Leduc Recreation Centre in the soccer field house. Gary believed that minor sports should be affordable and accessible to all children. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to make a donation to the Canadian Tire Jump Start program. Trust funds for his children, Zachary, Hayley and Cassidy have been set up in their names at the Leduc Scotia Bank. See you at the rink. Hainstock and Son Funeral Directors, Leduc - 780-986-2151
