George Simpson passed away peacefully and surrounded by
his family on September 7, 2012
in Kelowna. George worked in Kelowna’s orchards for many years, and truly enjoyed the
outdoors. He was an avid
gardener, fisherman and hunter who loved to cook. On the
constant lookout for a great deal, George’s second home was the area flea market.
George will be lovingly
remembered by his wife Jane; children, Tom, Lily (Ron), Dave (Michelle), Doug, and Susan; grandchildren Blake and Jessie; and many other extended family members. He had many, many friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
A service for the comfort of George’s family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at The Falkland and District Community Church,
Chase-Falkland Road, Falkland, BC; Keith Will officiating.
Memorial donations in George’s name to the Canadian
Diabetes Association, 1589 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5Y7 would be appreciated.
