VAN WILDE RODE, GEORGE
George van Wilde Rode passed away peacefully on January 6th, 2015
at the age of 71.
Survived by daughters Tammi van Wilde Rode and Jodi Trovao (Tony), grandsons Connor and Ethan and his partner, Lynn Parfitt. Also survived bynephew, Ron van Wilde Rode (Christina) and family
and brother in law’s Morris Bleviss (Janna) and Joey Bleviss (Debbie).
He was sadly predeceased by his wife Linda (1998), brother Maurice, parents John and Alexina, nephew David and son in law, Jim McPhail.
George and Linda moved to Kelowna from Vancouver in 1970 where they happily raised their family while George worked mostly in the boat/marine industry. He had a memory for part numbers like no other. George also touched many people dedicating 30+ years to the Rutland Lions Club and spent the last 10+ years enjoying his other passion and love – his corvette and the Corvette Club. George will be missed by many and forever loved.
