Passed away peacefully at home Tuesday December 30th 2008 at the age of 90. She is survived by brother Fumi , sister May , daughters Mona (Fred) Trussell, Kelowna; Wendy (Wayne) Higgins, Williams Lake; Nancy (Randy) Hauff Kelowna; Donna Inaba Vancouver; one son Gary ( Mary Lou) Inaba Kelowna. Pre-deceased by parents Bunmei (1961), Kiku (1988), husband Thomas Inaba ( 1973), Mitsuyoshi Tsuida (2001), grand-daughter Marie Trussell- Ruesgen ( 2002) and grandson Byron Paulson-Hauff (2005). Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Raised family in Summerland until 1962 and moved to Kelowna where she was employed by Gem Cleaners and Furriers at the Capri Shopping Centre until her retirement in 1983. She spent the next many years enjoying life with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom Helen will always be remembered for her warm personality and infectious smile. The family is grateful to Drs. Shepherd and Delorme. Viewing will take place Tuesday January 6th 2009 at 7:00 to 8:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service Wednesday January 7th at 1:00 pm both at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. A private family graveside service on Thursday January 8th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
