HEATHER ANN (nee McCuaig) passed away at Kelowna General Hospital on Friday, April 25, 2008 in her 63rd year. Beloved wife of Albert and cherished mother of Alison (Chris) of Toronto and Kevin of Halifax. Loving sister to the late Rev. Dr. Malcolm McCuaig (Marion) and Ian McCuaig (Elizabeth) of Ottawa. Dear aunt to nieces Barbara (Dave), Donna (Sergio), Karen and nephews Ian Andrew (Suanne) and Steven. Heather is also predeceased by her mother and father, Dorothy and Lorne McCuaig of Scotstown, Quebec, by her father-in-law Bert Hand of Winnipeg and brothers-in-law Richard of Kingston, ON and Ken (Vera) of Winnipeg. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Springfield Funeral Home Family Centre, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC on Thursday, May 1stfrom 6:00 to 8:00 pm. An informal gathering to Celebrate Heathers life will be held in Ottawa at a later date.Interment in Ottawa. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the EMT personnel, the doctors and nurses in Emergency and in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Kelowna General Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
