TURCOTTE, Heather Helen (nee Stewart)
Passed away peacefully with her children by her side on November 15, 2009 at the age of 87. Heather is survived, and will be missed by her sons: Stewart (Tracy) and Jim
(Jamie); grandchildren: Maya (Bryan), Kai, Kiera (Brett), Shayla, Brie and four great grandchildren; sister Faye, brother Hugh and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Turk and brothers Vic and Aubrey and sister Doreen. Heather came from a family of Valley Pioneers, who came to the Okanagan on 1905. She was raised to be independent and capable. Heather entered the bank immediately after high school. She left by steamer for the Yukon and a career in banking where she met her husband and made plans for their future. They were soon married and then transferred to the Maritimes where they spent many great years. Upon retiring, they returned to the Okanagan where Heather became a favorite of many clients in the Royal Bank. She was a special person who spent most of her time involved with her family, especially her
grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Village at Smith Creek for their care and compassion. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 4:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
