It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Nickel of Kelowna, BC, on February 9, 2008 at the age of 76. Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Henry is survived by his wife Helga, daughters Ingrid (Eric) Perlstrom, Marlene (Greg) Lang and grandchildren Kareem (Christina), Erica (Nathan), Alex and Julia. He will be greatly missed by his brothers, sister, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 7 - 8 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna. The funeral service will take place Friday, February 15, 2008 at 1:00 pm at First Mennonite Church, 1305 Gordon Drive, Kelowna. Interment to follow in Kelowna Memorial Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Kelowna General Hospital for giving Henry such excellent care. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
