GEIER, HILDEGARD
Passed away
peacefully at the
age of 88 on July 22, 2012 at the Central Okanagan Hospice House. Predeceased by husband, Hans of fifty years and her youngest sister, Lisa Dolling. Survived by son, Norman (Lynn); grandchildren, Julie and Jennifer and
great grandson,
Bentley. Hildegard is also survived by brother, Gerhard Wunderlich and sister, Annerose Ghetto. Hildegard was born in Eichigt, Germany on July 7, 1924. She married Hans in 1949 and together they immigrated to Canada in 1953 where they lived in Prince George for twenty years. In 1973, the family moved to Kelowna where Hildegard continued
to work for "The Bay" until she retired in the
mid 1980's. Her life was filled with a passion
for gardening, walking around the beautiful area where she lived, snow skiing, taking the odd trip back to Germany and visiting with her many friends. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at KGH, and to the nurses and volunteers at
