passed away on Monday, May 19th 2008 at the Douglas Fir Hospice in Kelowna, BC with her long time friend and companion Robert (Bob) Nadon, and family members at bedside. She was predeceased by Cecil Philpott in 1989. Inez was born in Young Saskatchewan but lived in the Joe Riche and Kelowna area for more than 70 years. She is sadly missed by her three daughters; Edithe (Dave) Ross of East Kelowna, Joanna (Uldis) Vecmanis of Napanee Ontario, Pat (Dennis) Schlenker of Kelowna, son Monte (Gloria) Phillpot of Joe Riche. Also left to mourn are her sisters, Roberta (Gerry) Spellman, Marlene (Chris) Johnson, brother Roger Preston, 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. This wonderfully talented, kind, generous lady touched the lives of many people including 20 Foster Children. She believed everyone deserved an opportunity or a hand up in life. The memory of her hilarious sense of humor has helped us come to terms with our loss. To know her was to love her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 31st, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Valleyview Funeral Home, 165 Valleyview Road Kelowna, BC.
