March 30,1952 - August 5,2008. Irene passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer, at the Vancouver Cancer Clinic. Irene was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Kelowna in 1962. She later relocated to Vancouver and lived in Ladner South Delta. Survived by her loving husband Richard and precious daughters Chelsea de Vos (Garrit), Amanda Emery (Matt), her loving mother and brother and sister in lawLinda Held, Peter Held (Heather). Her beloved father Arthur Held passed away from his battle with cancer 3 1/2 years ago.Father-in-law Cyril Emery also predeceased her. Irene is also survived by her aunts Alma Bauer, Lily Olynik , Marta Ludwig and Uncle Ernst Korth, mother in law Edna Emery, sister in law Joan Britton (Emery) and brother in law Gord Britton and their children. Irene will be very much missed and so fondly remembered by all her friends and people she touched the lives of. Please join us as we grieve the loss of her body and rejoice in the redemption of her soul.Her memorial service will be held on SundayAugust 24th at 2pm at Cedar Park Church in Ladner, B.C.
