SCHNEIDMILLER: Irene

On Monday January 9, 2017 Irene Schneidmiller passed away at the age of 92, at the Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, British Columbia. She was born on February 28, 1924 in Thelma, Alberta to John and Dorothy Schock. Irene is survived by her three children Dona Frayn of Kelowna, B.C., Garry (Linda) Schneidmiller of Bonnyville, Alta. and Victoria (Bryan) Hamilton of Calgary, Alta; two brothers Donald (Marlene) Schock of Medicine Hat, Alta. and John (Florence) Schock of Maple Creek, Sask.; five grandchildren, Stacey Frayn, Brent (Sue) Schneidmiller, Blair (Carmen) Schneidmiller, Pamela (Paul) Vandenberg and Bradley Hamilton; four great grandchildren Justin Frayn, Taytum and Torie Schneidmiller and Alyssa Vandenberg; two sisters-in-law Jean Schock and Darlene Schock, Medicine Hat; one brother-in-law Andy Burns, Victoria; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Victor; her parents John and Dorothy Schock, her brothers Carl, Bill and George; her sister-in-law Illene Schock. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held Saturday, May 6th, 2017 in Kelowna with burial at Lakeview Memorial Garden Cemetery in Kelowna. Her death is not to mourn but we all should remember her in life in what she accomplished and how she touched everyone’s hearts. Goodbye for now to our Mother, a very kind and gentle soul.
