passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the age of 76. She leaves many fond memories for her four children; Maureen (Robert) Koenig, Doug (Suzan) McVicar, Carol (Ken) Weslosky, and Neil (Tara) McVicar. She is also survived by the father of her children, Maurice McVicar and their eight grandchildren; Scott (Tiffany) and Ryan (Lindsay) Koenig; Calum, Caitlin and Graeme McVicar; Cory, Craig and Kristin Weslosky. Also surviving her are sisters May Foxall and Betty Draper; brother David Sorlie. Mom was born Mary 27, 1932 in Edmonton, Alberta and devoted herself to her family, church and communities in SK, BC and AB by using her skill as a seamstress and contributing to many a bake sale. She “retired” to Kelowna where she kept herself busy with renovations, crafts, her garden and Scrabble Club. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
